I took my several-year-old cube to them last week for a gearbox problem. When I went to pick it up, the young mechanic who assisted me had solved the problem and, in front of me, still performed a series of small interventions to optimize the bike, giving me a series of extremely competent explanations that I was pleased with, until, enthusiastically, I offered to go to the cashier to pay. I have to anticipate that I will have to take my bicycle back to them for an intervention that will radically solve my problem, so far only masterfully curbed. Well, knowing that I'll still have a good couple of months to ride it before I leave it with them for a full winter checkup, the young mechanic surprised me by telling me that we were okay, that I didn't owe them anything. I don't know how to explain...I sensed in this gesture and in all his previous attitude, indeed...in all his surroundings an AUTHENTIC PASSION FOR THE BIKE!!! It made me wonder if Pogacar had visited their store in July so excited and surprised was I...few times have I encountered such professionalism, dedication and foresight in a bike store that is evidently more than that, indeed it is a kind of small temple of cycling. Quando sono andato a prenderla il giovane meccanico che mi ha assistito aveva risolto il problema e, davanti a me, ha operato ancora una serie di piccoli interventi di ottimizzazione del mezzo, dandomi una serie di spiegazioni estremamente competenti che mi hanno fatto piacere, fino a quando, entusiasta, mi sono proposto di andare alla cassa per pagare. Premetto che dovrò loro riportarla per un intervento che risolverà radicalmente il mio problema, per ora solo arginato magistralmente. Ebbene, sapendo che farò ancora un paio di mesi buoni per pedalare, prima di lasciarla loro per un check up completo d'inverno, il giovane meccanico mi ha sorpreso dicendomi che eravamo a posto così, che non dovevo loro niente. Non so come spiegare... ho percepito in questo gesto e in tutto il suo atteggiamento precedente, anzi... in tutto l'ambiente circostante un'AUTENTICA PASSIONE PER LA BICI!! Mi veniva da chiedergli se a luglio Pogacar avesse visitato il loro negozio talmente ero entusiasta e sorpreso... poche volte mi è capitato di incontrare una simile professionalità, dedizione e lungimiranza in un negozio di bici che, evidentemente, è più di questo, anzi è una sorta di piccolo tempio del ciclismo.
